Morang – Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that the appointment of the new Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank will take place soon.
Speaking to the media at Biratnagar Airport today, Minister Lekhak informed that the appointment will be made based on a consensus between the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML.
He asserted that the current coalition government, formed through an agreement between the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML for the sake of political stability and economic prosperity, will complete its full term.
Minister Lekhak said that the current government was formed to break the public’s growing sense of despair and to instill a ray of hope. He made it clear that no activities against the Constitution and the existing system, particularly from monarchist forces, would be tolerated.
Highlighting the significance of the federal democratic republic achieved through the great struggle, sacrifice, and dedication of the Nepali people, he emphasized that no form of authoritarian regime can replace the current democratic system.
Commending the government’s performance over the past ten months, Lekhak noted that key economic indicators are improving and the country is moving forward toward economic strengthening.
